Leisure Networks Is Phasing Out NDIS Plan Management: What Participants Need to Know
If you currently have your NDIS Plan Management with Leisure Networks, you may have recently heard that the organisation is phasing out its NDIS plan management service.
The announcement, made on 3 August 2026, means around 2,800 Leisure Networks participants will need to choose a new plan manager. Leisure Networks has said it will support participants through the transition and has offered a “one-click” option for those who are happy to move to its preferred provider, while also providing access to the wider list of plan management providers.
If you're affected, there's no need to panic. Changing plan managers doesn't mean changing your NDIS plan or losing your funding.
At Pacific Plan Management, we understand that changes like this can feel overwhelming, particularly when your plan manager is already an important part of managing your NDIS funding. We've put together this guide to explain what the announcement means and what your options are.
First things first: Your NDIS Plan isn't changing
One of the most important things to understand is that changing plan managers is not the same as changing your NDIS plan.
Your plan, approved funding and supports don't change because you choose a different plan manager.
Your plan manager's role is to help manage the financial side of your NDIS plan. This includes processing provider invoices, helping you keep track of your funding and providing information about your plan spending.
So, if you're currently with Leisure Networks, this is primarily a change to who manages the financial administration of your plan.
What has Leisure Networks announced?
Leisure Networks has announced that it will phase out its NDIS financial plan management service.
The change affects approximately 2,800 participants and 18 staff within its plan management team. Importantly, Leisure Networks itself is not closing. The organisation will continue delivering its other services and supports.
What are your options?
If you're a Leisure Networks participant affected by this change, you have a choice.
Option 1: Accept the preferred provider
Leisure Networks has announced that it will provide a “one-click” transfer option for participants who are happy to move to its preferred plan management provider.
Option 2: Choose your own plan manager
You can also choose a different plan manager.
This is an opportunity to consider what you actually want from your plan manager rather than simply accepting the first option available.
When choosing a new plan manager, you might want to consider:
Friendly and responsive communication
Fast invoice processing
Clear budget tracking and regular statements
Knowledge of the NDIS
Personalised support
A team that's easy to contact when you need help
A great Plan Manager should give you confidence that your funding is being managed accurately and efficiently. Most importantly, choose the provider that feels right for you.
How do I change Plan Managers?
Changing plan managers is an administrative change and doesn't require you to start your NDIS journey again.
Step 1: Choose Your New Plan Manager
Find a Plan Manager you feel comfortable with and who offers the level of support you're looking for.
Step 2: Contact Your New Plan Manager

What happens to my outstanding invoices?
Your new Plan Manager can take over invoice processing when you switch, including outstanding invoices from before the change. If an invoice is sent to the wrong place during the transition, it can be redirected to the right Plan Manager.
Do I need a new NDIS plan?
No.
Changing your plan manager is not a request for a new NDIS plan or a plan reassessment.
You are changing the organisation that helps manage the financial administration of your existing plan.
Do I have to use the plan manager Leisure Networks recommends?
No.
Leisure Networks has stated that participants will have access to the wider list of plan management providers as well as its preferred-provider option.
The NDIS is built around participant choice and control, and choosing a plan manager is an important part of that.
Take some time to compare your options and choose a provider based on the service you want.
